About me

hey, I'm Tashenna Rai!

full-time photographer, part-time dog walker, lover of dr pepper, gyros, and hyping you up like it’s my job (because it is).

i’m here to capture the real stuff. the belly laughs. the crooked smiles. the wind-in-your-hair, mud-on-your-shoes, kids-won’t-stand-still kind of love. whether you're cuddling your babies, chasing your dogs, or whispering “i hate photos” to your partner (don’t worry, i got you), i’m here to make magic with it all.

i believe photos should feel like you — not like some awkward version of you with a forced smile and no idea where to put your hands. (speaking of hands, if yours are sweaty? same. we’re in this together.)

after three+ years of doing this full time, i've learned that the best sessions are the ones where you feel safe, seen, and like you can just be… you. i’ll guide you, laugh with you, and maybe even cry a little if the moment hits hard (it happens, ok?).

so if you’re into messy hair, heartfelt moments, and having a photographer who will absolutely trip over a stick to get the shot — we’re gonna get along great.

grab a drink, browse the galleries, and let’s tell your story in a way that makes you feel like home.

a little note on all the lowercase…

yep, you’ll notice i write in lowercase — unless it’s names or dates (because those deserve a little extra love). why? honestly, i just find it more aesthetic. it feels softer, more me, and a little less “english class formal.”

i know it might not be “professional” by traditional standards, but like… who even made those rules? probably someone who never had to caption a photo of a couple making out in a waterfall.

so, lowercase it is. it’s authentic, it’s cozy, and it’s the way my words feel most like home.

thanks for rolling with it.
